November 2024

In November 2024, Micronics welcomed Action Filtration and the Hope, Indiana team to the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group.

Its roots date back over 35 years to 1989 and since then, Action Filtration has become a leading aftermarket manufacturer of high-quality replacement pleated bag filters, dust collection cartridges, filter bags for industrial air pollution control, and blast cabinet gloves.

March 2024

In March 2024, a Groundbreaking Ceremony took place for a new Micronics Center of Excellence (COE) in India.

The new COE will be a truly integrated site with full-up laboratory capabilities, weaving, finishing, cage manufacturing, wet filtration fabrication, dry filtration fabrication, and supply chain support for Micronics’ customers in India and globally.

December 2023

In December 2023, Micronics welcomed SOLAFT^® to the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group.

SOLAFT was originally founded in Australia in 1966 as Albany Filtration Technologies and grew to be an innovative global industrial filtration solutions provider with in-house design; in-house textile laboratories, analytical services, and R&D facilities; and world-class manufacturing and distribution operations in Brazil, China, India, and Australia.

July 2023

In July 2023, Micronics welcomed AFT^® to the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group! AFT^® was started by FLSmidth in 1999 and grew to be one of the leading manufacturers of industrial filter bags for control of air pollution and emissions.

We were pleased to welcome new teammates in Augusta, Georgia, and in India.

March 2022

The new Micronics Engineered Filtration Group logo was designed to fully represent our capabilities and worldwide footprint in providing Total Engineered Filtration Solutions to our customers worldwide.

The squares coming off the globe were inspired by filter cake removal and our capabilities for both Air Pollution Control and Liquid-Solid Separation.

The new company logo and brand identity recognizes and celebrates the legacy and brand equity that NFM brings to the markets we serve.

February 2022

Micronics was excited to welcome National Filter Media (“NFM”) and Filterfab to the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group’s family of trusted engineered filtration brands in early 2022.

NFM has proudly provided industrial air pollution control and liquid filtration solutions since 1906.

Micronics is thrilled to have expanded our manufacturing and operational footprint to now also include Canada, where we have many valued clients.

2021

Filter Press manufacturing transitioned out of Dover, NH to its new Advanced Technology Center in Chattanooga, TN in 2021.

August 2020

Micronics’ global headquarters are now located in centrally located Chattanooga, TN, USA, adjacent to one of our US-based Filter Media manufacturing facilities.

We love being based in Chattanooga, the “Scenic City.”

2020

Chris Cummins joined the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group as its President and CEO in April 2020.

Before joining Micronics and Vance Street Capital, Mr. Cummins held senior leadership roles including President, COO, SVP – Global Operations, and General Manager for a wide range of privately held and public companies including Danaher Corporation, Colson Group, Symmetry Medical, and Abaco Systems.

Chris also serves as a Senior Operating Partner with Vance Street Capital.

2019

Micronics transitioned its filter cloth manufacturing from Portsmouth, NH, to centrally located Chattanooga, TN, USA, in May 2019.

This state-of-the-art facility is home to high-quality filter cloth for leading liquid filtration applications and high-quality filter bags for leading dust collection facilities.

2017

To meet the increased demand for Micronics’ filter media products, Micronics announced the expansion of our filter media manufacturing capacity through a new, dedicated facility in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico.

2014-2015

Micronics expanded into dry particulate filtration, augmenting its strong liquid-solid separation foundations.

Southern Filter Media (“SFM”), C.P. Environmental (“CPE”), United Process Control (“UPC”), and AeroPulse^® all joined the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group, laying the foundations for Micronics as a trusted single source for both Liquid-Solid separation and Baghouse Solutions.

2013

Micronics proudly became a portfolio company of Vance Street Capital, a Los Angeles-based private equity firm in 2013. (www.vancestreetcapital.com).

Vance Street Capital is a middle-market private equity firm focused on investing in highly engineered solutions businesses across the industrial technology, medical, life science, and aerospace and defense sectors. Vance Street Capital’s partners work with management teams to accelerate revenue growth, improve operations, and acquire strategic assets for the companies in their portfolio.

2010

Long-life SOLAFT^® Kelly Filters were developed and installed at an Australian Alumina refinery.

We have been successfully serving and partnering with leading Alumina and Aluminium Industry producers worldwide for many decades.

2009

Micronics entered into a strategic partnership with Ishigaki for North America and South America to market its high-capacity filter press systems and provide expert field service and spare parts for its LASTA MC systems in the Mining & Mineral Processing industries.

2005

We began filtration operations in China in 2005.

We became the first company to supply pulse-jet filter bags to the Chinese coal-fired power generation sector. (SOLAFT^®)

1990

Micronics Filtration Ltd. was established in Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom, to manufacture, distribute, and service filtration products in the European market, Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

1986

Founded originally in Hillsborough, New Jersey, United Process Control (“UPC”) has been serving the air pollution control industry in North America since 1986.

UPC joined the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group in 2015.

1983

Micronics was incorporated in the USA to manufacture and supply technical filter media for Liquid-Solid Separation.

Building upon its core expertise in filter cloth, Micronics expanded its manufacturing locations and its filtration product line to include filter presses, filter plates, parts and subsystems, and unparalleled field service to maximize filter press uptime.

1980

Since 1980, the AeroPulse^® brand of Pulse-Jet Baghouses has been providing excellent, reliable, and efficient dust collector performance.

AeroPulse joined the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group in 2015 and the legacy of providing customers with excellent, customized APC engineering and design solutions for baghouses has continued under the Micronics Engineered Filtration banner.

1973

Southern Filter Media (“SFM”), founded in the great State of Tennessee, has been serving the filtration industry since 1973 as a manufacturer of both wet and dry filtration products.

We are incredibly proud of the SFM legacy of great people, great technical expertise, and fast response time to customers’ baghouse filtration needs. SFM joined the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group at the end of 2014.

1972

We began filtration operations in Brazil in 1972 and have state-of-the-art equipment for both Liquid Filtration and Dry Filtration to meet our customers’ diverse needs.

1972

Founded in suburban Chicago, C.P. Environmental (“CPE”) has been serving the pollution control industry across the USA since 1972.

We are extremely proud of the CPE legacy of great people providing baghouse facilities with industry-leading Baghouse Maintenance & Repair Services. CPE joined the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group in 2015.

1968

The first pressure filter was supplied to the Alumina industry (SOLAFT^®).

The Micronics Engineered Filtration Group is now a leading filtration solutions provider to the global Alumina and Aluminium industry.

1967

Since 1967, Filterfab has represented excellence in filter bag manufacturing for the North American Dust/Air Pollution Control market.

Filterfab joined the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group in 2022 in conjunction with the acquisition of National Filter Media.

We are exceptionally proud of our filtration manufacturing operations in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, and we proudly serve our global customers’ needs in French and English.

1906

National Filter Media was founded in Salt Lake City in 1906, laying the groundwork for a longstanding legacy of leading filtration solutions, outstanding customer service, and support for a diverse range of industries and applications.

NFM joined the Micronics Engineered Filtration Group in 2022.
